One of the most common questions we get: “How do I actually get there?” Here’s everything you need to know, by location.
Vermont Lodge Location:
Flying into: Burlington International Airport (BTV), ~45 minutes away. Rent a car; public transit is limited in rural Vermont. From the airport, take I-89 south for 30 minutes, then follow scenic back roads (we’ll send detailed turn-by-turn directions with your booking confirmation). The last mile is a dirt road—this is intentional. It keeps the lodge private and adds to its secluded charm. Your GPS might get confused; we’ll provide our direct address and a photo landmark so you don’t miss it.
Parking: Ample parking in front of the lodge. No permit needed. In winter, our team clears the drive, but pack tire chains just in case.
Caribbean Villa (Virgin Islands):
Fly into: Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX), St. Croix, then take a ferry to St. John (20 minutes). Or fly direct to Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and take a 90-minute ferry. We provide detailed options based on your preferences. Ferry schedules are seasonal; we’ll confirm current schedules with your booking.
Ground transport: Rental car recommended. The villa is 15 minutes from the ferry dock. In high season, book your car weeks in advance.
York, England Property:
Train: King’s Cross to York (takes 1 hour 45 minutes from central London). Taxis are plentiful from the station (~10 minutes to the property). Or drive; York is 200 miles north of London (3.5 hours), with ample parking in the city center.
General Tips:
- Arrive with enough daylight to locate your keys and settle in
- We’ll send parking permits/information in advance
- Download offline maps in case signal is spotty
- Call with questions 24 hours before arrival
Arriving should be seamless. Book your stay and we’ll handle the details so you can focus on the adventure.
